Anse Noire

Known mainly for its black sand and boat dock, Anse Noire receives few visitors. However, it is known that the sea bed her is particularly interesting, so snorkeling and scuba diving is an option.

Located on the island of Martinique, 5.6 miles south of Fort de France, Anse Noire is on the South West edge of the island, You might think about stopping by regardless of whether you are staying very close. Though you couldn't go so far as to say Anse Noire is secluded, visitors will notice fewer people here than are at the other, usually crowded beaches on Martinique. So although you probably won't have the place all to yourself, less traffic at this beach means you'll encounter a lot less people along your romantic walk.

How to Access The Beach

Visitors can take the dedicated road to the beach called Chemin Rural de L'Anse Dufour. The road will eventually split left and right. Go right and you'll be at the beach in less than a minute.

The beach is shrouded by trees and hills, offering quite a bit of privacy from the outside world.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline. You'll find the waters off-shore to be clear and good for snorkeling, so grab some gear if you're hoping to see what lies beneath the surface.

Visitors will find this beach on the South West coast of Martinique; it's located near attractions like Planete Dauphins, which is only a short distance away, so some will want to take a cab, while others will find it a nice walk.

If you want to combine culture with your visit to the beach, you should consider a trip to Musée de la Pagerie, one of the closest museums, so it would be an easy side trip to take after the beach.

Another location you might enjoy is Les Salines, which is generally a pretty popular beach. It is located 15 and a half miles to the southeast. Les Salines is the perfect Martinique beach for travelers seeking bright sun and white sand. If you'd rather try a more private, less popular location, Anse Dufour may be a good choice. It is located only a short distance away.

Another location you may want to try is Plage de Madiana, which is located not too far away, meaning a quick cab ride will get you here pretty easily.
