Amenities and Ambiance

Cap Chevalier is located on the eastern side of Martinique along the Atlantic. Trade winds blow across the beach, but the water remains calm and fairly shallow due to coral reefs.

The concession stand at this spot is also an option. You may also have the option to order lunch from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up shop here.

Please note that public restrooms are not available. You will find the water here is of good snorkeling quality, so purchase or rent some gear if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites. Cap Chevalier is known to get crowded on weekends, so travelers seeking a quieter day at the beach might want to visit on a weekday. Locals can be seen fishing in the water off of Cap Chevalier in their wooden rafts.

Cap Chevalier grants a calm and relaxing escape, especially since the region surrounding the beach contains little build-up and is free of urbanization.
