Located on the western coast of the island of Mayaguana, in the general vicinity of Abrams Bay, You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying very close. One beach that tends to attract a broad range of travelers is Big Bay Beach, which is generally active and popular, but not constantly overrun with crowds. The beach is located north of Betsy Bay. Access by taking the island's main road east as far as it will go. You can't help but run right up next to the ocean.

At this remote spot, you might get a chance to see the mailboat that comes in once a week to this small island. The beach curves ever so slightly against this small, remote island's easternmost coast.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.
