Home to a large university, Mayaguez is home to a great nightlife scene without being too over the top.  The town itself is best known for having the third largest port in Puerto Rico, thus making it a great home base for all activities that require a boat like pleasure sailing, diving, and fishing.  On land there is some green space to explore and when it comes to sightseeing the university helps to ensure the cultural scene is rich.
