Mayaguez is not a town where there are beaches within walking distance of your hotel. Instead, it will require a rental car or a trusted taxi driver to get your a few miles down the way to find some of the area's top beaches. If you're into watersports and willing to drive just a bit out of the way, you'll find that you are within easy reach of the best surfing beaches in the country when you stay in this area.

Corcega Beach: Corcega Beach is located just off PR 429.
A second option for beach-goers to consider is Buyé Beach. A dirt road leads to Buye Beach, where parking is $3(USD) per vehicle.
Rincon Beach: To access Rincon Beach, follow PR 413 along the west coast, exiting at Black Eagle Road. Continue down the road until it turns into Black Eagle Marina as you pass Taino Divers and Shipwreck Bar & Grill to the left.
