Built to honor a man who was a poet, journalist, and statesman, Parque Luis Muñoz Rivera is a great place to stop and get some fresh air on your way towards San Juan from Puerta de Tierra.

This park is well-kept and frequently landscaped, featuring wide walkways, shady trees, picnics, a kids playground, and other recreational spaces. This location is favored for local cultural celebrations, and enjoys views of the oceanfront and the Commonwealth Supreme Court.


Positioned on the outer parts of Mayagüez, a quarter mile east of downtown, Parque Luis Munoz Rivera welcomes local customers and travelers rooming in this part of the city or an adjacent neighborhood.
