Amenities and Ambiance

The crystalline aquamarine waters remain shallow and calm, so much so that visitors can often wade from the shore to a small island a half a mile off the shore called Pelican Cay. Snorkelers especially enjoy the waters, which are calm and make it easy to explore the few heads of coral that are situated around the pier. Although the sand along the shore appears white and fluffy, it tends to be speckled with bits of coral that make it more rough than powder-soft. Protective shoes are recommended.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. Fortunately, the water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring your gear if you are looking to do some underwater exploration.

If you like coasts that offer a peaceful experience, then you may want to try Bambarra Beach; it's located in a less urban sector of Middle Caicos.
