Bucaneer Beach

Though many believe Bucaneer Beach to be a part of the Bucaneer Beach Resort property, it is in fact a public beach. Stop by for a day of sun bathing or body surfing -- you won't be sorry you did.

Located toward the outskirts of Montego Bay, a mile and a half north of downtown, Bucaneer Beach is on the North West edge of Jamaica. You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you are staying particularly close by. Travelers who'd like to avoid renting a car will like how easy it is to reach Bucaneer Beach. The area surrounding this beach has so much to offer because it is right in the center of all the daytime activity.

How to Access The Beach
Buccaneer Beach is set off Norman Manely Boulevard and The Queens Drive, just behind AirPort Norwood. For easiest access, take Norman Manely to Kent Ave, and follow it to the shore.

Amenities and Ambiance

Bucaneer Beach enjoys soft, white to grey sand and turquoise waters. The waves are not quite calm, yet not too strong that a novice swimmer couldn't step into the sea.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.

Since Bucaneer Beach will be found inside an area popular among tourist, you'll want to plan accordingly.
