Dead End Beach

Many people find laying back and watching airplanes fly overhead to be an awe inspiring and even relaxing experience. At Dead End Beach, not only will you get to spend your day sun bathing and swimming, but the beach is located so near the airport that you can watch as countless planes land nearby.

Located on the outskirts of Montego Bay, a mile north of downtown, Dead End Beach is on the North West edge of Jamaica. You should consider stopping by whether or not you're staying particularly close by. Jamaica's beaches are known for being quite secluded, offering beautiful backdrops and few disturbances. While these beaches are a perfect fit for some, busy vacationers may prefer something a little less out-of-the-way, like Dead End Beach.

How to Access The Beach
Dead End Beach is located behind Airport Norwood. Take Norman Manely Boulevard to Sunset Boulevard, and then Kent Avenue. The beach is just beyond Sandals Montego Bay.

Amenities and Ambiance

Dead End Beach is backed by a slightly busy road, and shortly thereafter the airport. This makes the beach itself a thin ribbon of white sand that leads to relatively calm aquamarine waters.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

Since Dead End Beach is of course located inside a commonly visited area, you might need to hunt to get a spot!
