Dump-Up Beach and Events Park

Back in the 1970s, the part of Montego Bay in which this beach is located was not very well taken care of, and locals called it "dumped upon." Then, the Jamaican government stepped in, hoping to revitalize the area. So was born Dump-Up Beach. Thanks to the fact that it is government owned, and thus free, Dump-Up Beach is popular amongst locals and tourists alike.

Located in downtown Montego Bay, Dump-Up Beach and Events Park is on the North West edge of Jamaica. You should consider stopping by whether or not you are staying particularly close by. Vacationers who prefer to walk rather than drive around Jamaica will find that Dump-Up Beach and Events Park is a good choice for them. There are so many things to do in the area, as this beach is right in the center of all the daytime activity.

How to Access The Beach
Dump-Up Beach is located just off Gloucester Avenue, right before Aqua Sol Theme Park.

Amenities and Ambiance

Dump-Up Beach exists as he third of three Crescent Shaped bays in a row in Montego Bay. The waters of this beach are a stunning topaz, the sands are powder white, and the whole thing is backed by a football sized field where local events are held.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

Be mindful that Dump-Up Beach and Events Park's location is rather congested, so make sure to get a spot!
