Pompey Museum

This museum is dedicated to telling the story of the African experience in the Bahamas and occupies a building where slaves were once bought and sold.

There is a modest selection nearby outdoor enterprises to participate in while you and your party aren't touring Pompey Museum. Operating Hours

Monday through Saturday from 9:30 am- 4:30 pm are touring hours, except Thursdays, when they close at 1:00 pm. They are not open Sundays or holidays.


There is a very small admission fee to get into the museum, though ages five and under get in free.
