Western Esplanade Beach

A tremendously popular beach mainly due to its close proximity to and easy access from Nassau's busy downtown, this has become a favorite stop for many spring breakers. With snack bars and restaurants close by, and reggae music booming from the speakers, this can be a fun place to hang out for a few hours, particularly if you're already in the area.

Located on the outskirts of Nassau, a quarter mile west-northwest of the "downtown" area, Western Esplanade Beach is on the North East coast of New Providence. You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Travelers who like to see and do as much as they can will probably enjoy this beach because of its busy, urban location. In fact, Western Esplanade Beach is a favorite of hotel guests in the area, and people who want an unlimited number of nearby restaurants and activities to choose from.

The beach runs along West Bay Street, stretching westward from the British Colonial Hilton. There are a number of parking areas to choose from.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.
