Catering to cruise ship passengers, Jamaica Scuba Divers has several locations around the island. Their highly qualified team of instructors and guides will prepare visitors for a safe and exhilarating dive at the edge of the Cayman Trench.
Cruise ship passengers will be picked up from the cruise terminal between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m., taken out on a two tank dive excursion, then returned between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. If you're staying on the island, you can meet at the dive center. In addition to daily dives, PADI certification courses are available.
Discover Scuba, the introductory course is $58 in the pool, and $68(USD) if you add an ocean dive. Next up, the PADI Scuba Diver certification is $345, PADI Open Water is $442, NAUI Open Water is $463, Adventure Diver starts at $208, PADI Advanced Open Water starts at $318, NAUI Advanced Open Water starts at $388, Rescue Diver is $498, and PADI Emergency First Response CPR is $150(USD).
The cost of your dive will depend on whether or not you need to rent gear. A single tank dive is $50 with your own gear and $60(USD) with rentals. You'll save money the more dives you book in advance, with two to three tank dives costing $45 to $50 per dive and 10 or more dives costing $32 to $36(USD) per dive.
