Negril has a diverse landscape.  Although it is a popular resort town, there are also plenty of natural sites to be explored.   Most are located along the coast, or have something to do with water, but there are also a few city parks that offer a great place to stop for a picnic and be surrounded by green space.

Do you want to enjoy more of your vacation outside? You may be happy to find out that the area has two different nature preserves available.

Negril Watershed Protection Area is a nature preserve found in southern Negril. This area of the island was set aside for the preservation of a tropical environment and visitors often hike through for a view of the Great Morass.

View the following chart for more information.

Barney's Hummingbird Garden

Travelers can also visit one of the many parks, or a botanical garden in and around Negril.

If you enjoy tropical vegetation, you might want to visit Barney's Hummingbird Garden, which is located in Negril. Explore a beautifully flourishing and well-maintained tropical garden that promotes all that is naturally beautiful about Jamaica, all the while interacting with friendly and busy hummingbirds.

A second popular choice in this category is Discovery Falls. Included in your entrance fee is the zip-line, view of Negril from the mountainside, and a chance to relax in the natural spring fed lagoon and waterfall. The zipline suspends you 40 feet above ground and travels across 1000 feet through the jungle.
