The beaches of Nevis are without question a beautiful sight to behold. Some of the most popular beaches are so because resorts offer easy access to them, but there are many more beaches on the island that are lesser-known and therefore less crowded and more pristine. For a truly unique experience, make sure to take time to visit one of the island's black sand beaches which were created by volcanic rock.
There are several beaches to choose from on the island. Regardless of whether you'd rather be part of a busy beach scene, or you'd rather have more of the beach to yourself, you're likely to find what you want. For a detailed guide to a specific beach simply click on the names of the ones you're interested in.
Pinney's Beach: Located in between Charlestown and Nelson's Spring on the west coast of Nevis, you can get here by by car or by boat. If in the car, take Pinney's Rd north from Charlestown and take your first left to the shore where you'll find Chevy's Calypso Bar & Grill.
A second place that beach-goers can consider is Newcastle Beach. The beach is located right on the western end of the Vance W Amory International Airport. Follow the road around the landing strip where you'll find a parking area.
Indian Castle Beach: Most people are drawn to Indian Castle Beach because of its excellent opportunities for surfing. The shores of Indian Castle Beach remain generally uninhabited, except for a few friendly goats, who may just invite themselves to your beach picnic.
