For a unique hiking adventure, check out Diamond Mine. Not strenuous at all, this is a flat plain located near Indian Castle which is known for harboring small crystals made of quarts which are said to be found nowhere else on the island. They aren't easy to spot, and tourists often come to the spot to poke around for the illusive gems.
Located in the southern part of Saint George Gingerland Parish, Diamond Mine happily welcomes guests who are lodging in this part of Nevis. Whether or not you're staying particularly close, you are free to stop by for some fun in the sun. Charlestown is three and a half miles (six kilometers) to the west-northwest.
