With just over 13 miles separating St. Kitts and Nevis, a flight between the two islands lasts just moments. As convenient as it is, flying isn't always the most affordable method. Fortunately, tourists who want to stay on Nevis, or even just visit for a few hours, have the option of taking a ferry ride for a fraction of the cost.

Riding the Ferries

The ferry terminal on Nevis is located in the historic center of the island, Charlestown. There are currently four different ferry services that make the 45 minute trip on a regular basis. Three of them are regular fast ferries, and the fourth is a car barge which is generally used by locals to transport their vehicles back and forth.
