Indian Castle Beach

Most people are drawn to Indian Castle Beach because of its excellent opportunities for surfing. The shores of Indian Castle Beach remain generally uninhabited, except for a few friendly goats, who may just invite themselves to your beach picnic. If you're looking little seclusion and tranquility, these shores are ideal for your trip to the beach.

Located on the southern outskirts of Saint George Gingerland Parish, Indian Castle Beach is on the South East coast of Nevis. You might want whether or not you're staying in the immediate vicinity. Indian Castle Beach stands out because it's the ideal location for escaping over-crowded hangouts in the town proper. Many of the other beaches on St. Kitts may be just as pretty, but are usually busier because they're right around the corner from the area's major hotels and resorts.

How to Access The Beach
On the southern part of Nevis, from Taylor's Pleasure, head southeast on the road beginning at Gingerland Public Cemetery in between Gingerland Methodist Church and the Brookes gas station. Follow this south through a residential area. Once beyond all the houses, take your fist right. Stay on this until you reach a fork in the road. Taking it left a very short distance will take you to the coast. A 4X4 vehicle is recommended for the later part of this drive.

Amenities and Ambiance

Indian Castle Beach is located on the very southern end of Nevis, and its surf is extremely active, creating the perfect condition for surfers and body surfers. Its dramatic coastline, punctuated with coves and scenic inlets, create stunning views in all directions.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to order lunch from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up shop here.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. The shores of Indian Castle Beach remain generally uninhabited, except for a few friendly goats, who may just invite themselves to your beach picnic. If you're looking little seclusion and tranquility, these shores are ideal for your trip to the beach.

If you find that you favor beaches that grant a tranquil haven, then you will want to try Indian Castle Beach; it is back in a more rural part of the region.
