It's an odd day when Lover's Beach is crowded. This easily accessible, but hidden beach is a destination for those looking to take in the natural beauty of Nevis. A long coast, crystal water, and the surrounding image of mountains and forests make Lover's Beach an idealistic spot.
Located on the northwestern edge of Saint James Windward Parish, 0.8 miles west-northwest of Newcastle, Lover's Beach is on the North edge of Nevis. You might think about stopping by even if you are not staying in the immediate vicinity. Lover's Beach is a distinguishable relaxation spot because it's the ideal location for getting away from vacation stresses, like overly crowded restaurants and attractions. Most other beaches on St. Kitts offer views of the sea that are just as pretty, but are usually more crowded because they're right around the corner from the area's major hotels and resorts.
Lover's Beach is located right off the main northern road, and is just west of Vance W. Armory Airport. It is hidden behind a dense set of trees, and if you make it to Oualie Beach, you have gone too far. Once you pass the airport road heading west, be on the lookout for a right turn through the trees.
This laid back beach has options for anyone looking for a peaceful time. The long coast offers a nice walk to visitors, the gently rolling waves are great for waders, and the warm sand is great for those laying out and watching the ferries.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.

Another location you might enjoy is Newcastle Beach, found just a little ways away. Newcastle Beach is located near many of the island's hot spots. Others might prefer White Bay Beach, which could provide more action, and isn't far from other popular destinations. You'll find it seven miles to the southeast.
Another option worth considering is Nisbet Beach, which is located a mile and a half to the east.
While the area offers plenty of picturesque views and exciting attractions, taking a swim at Lover's Beach is certainly a fun way to enjoy the area's natural attractions.
