Grab an ice-cold refreshing cocktail at the Oualie Beach Hotel where you can also rent equipment for watersports, so you can enjoy the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean. Diving and snorkeling are the most popular activities here, but windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking are also available. There is a barbecue with live music hosted here on Tuesday nights.

Located in Tamarind Bay, 1.9 miles west of Newcastle, Oualie Beach is on the North West coast of Nevis. You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Although St. Kitts has beaches that are more secluded than Oualie Beach, it retains the right amount of intimacy and natural beauty to attract vacationers.

How to Access The Beach
You can get here directly from St. Kitts. A water taxi will take you right up to the shore of this cove on Nevis's northwestern coast.

Amenities and Ambiance

Oualie Beach can be found just south of Mosquito Bay. The waters here are crystal clear, and lap gently at the beach's beige sands. You can kick back in relax in hammocks or in chairs which are free if you are eating or drinking at the beach bar. There is a small boat anchorage available.

There is also a restaurant right on the water, so if you don't want to leave Oualie Beach at all, it's worth a try. There are several types of dining experiences that vacationers can enjoy on St. Kitts, but dining at the beach can be especially enjoyable. Ask your hotel about picnic lunches, as some hotels offer to pack snacks for their guests' day trips. Otherwise, you could easily grab some of St. Kitts' famous street food along the way.

The snack bar located at this spot is perfect for quick lunches and cold drinks, too. You may also have the option to buy food from one of the mobile vendors who are generally found here.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. You'll find the waters off-shore to be of good snorkeling quality, so bring your equipment if you want to check out what lies beneath the surface.
