Grab an ice-cold refreshing cocktail at the Oualie Beach Hotel where you can also rent equipment for watersports, so you can enjoy the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean. Diving and snorkeling are the most popular activities here, but windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking are also available. There is a barbecue with live music hosted here on Tuesday nights.
Situated in Tamarind Bay, 1.9 miles west of Newcastle, Oualie Beach is on the North West coast of Nevis. You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Those of you who want the best of both worlds——a sense of seclusion, but the option for activity—— may really like a visit to Oualie Beach. Generally, it's not an overly popular part of the coast, but it also doesn't completely lack a social atmosphere.
You can get here directly from St. Kitts. A water taxi will take you right up to the shore of this cove on Nevis's northwestern coast.
Oualie Beach can be found just south of Mosquito Bay. The waters here are crystal clear, and lap gently at the beach's beige sands. You can kick back in relax in hammocks or in chairs which are free if you are eating or drinking at the beach bar. There is a small boat anchorage available.
You'll also discover that there is a restaurant on the shore worth trying. There are so many dining experiences that vacationers can enjoy on St. Kitts, but eating at the beach can be especially memorable. With this in mind, you might ask your hotel if they offer to pack picnic lunches for their guests. Or, on your way to the beach you could grab some carry-out from a casual dining spot.
The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to buy food from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. Happily, the off-shore waters are clear and good for snorkeling, so grab some equipment if you're hoping to see what lies beneath the surface.
Set on the North West coast of Nevis; it's located near attractions like Hurricane Hill Trail, which is three quarters of a mile to the northeast.
If you want to combine a cultural experience with your visit to the beach, you might want to consider visiting. This museum is located four miles away, so it could be a welcomed alternative to hot afternoon activities.

Vacationers looking for a beach that's right for them will have other options if Oualie Beach doesn't suit their tastes.
If the active mood at Oualie Beach is one of the features you love, you'll want to consider heading to Lover's Beach, a spot with the same type of electricity. You'll find it one and a quarter miles to the northeast. If it's solitude and tranquility you're seeking, Newcastle Beach is a beach secluded from lots of tourists and buildings. It is located only a short distance away.
You may also enjoy Nisbet Beach, located two and a half miles to the east-northeast.
Oualie Beach could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; if so, St. Kitts offers a variety of beaches for travelers who wish to try elsewhere.
