White Bay Beach

White Bay Beach is known as one of the best beaches on the island for surfers because of the region's active waves. Its rocky coast also makes it remarkably picturesque, and a good spot for a picnic in a remote, infrequently visited area.

Located toward the eastern outskirts of Saint George Gingerland Parish, White Bay Beach is on the South East coast of Nevis. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. If you're looking for a quiet part of the coast, away from crowded tourist attractions, you should consider visiting White Bay Beach.

How to Access The Beach
You'll probably need a 4X4 vehicle to reach this rather secluded destination, unless you want to walk it. It's a couple miles from New River Estate, and not too far southwest from Gingerland. From Gingerland, there are paths that will take you out to the coast.

Amenities and Ambiance

The Atlantic facing White Bay Beach has a rocky, yet picturesque coastline. Because these shores are facing the Atlantic, the waters here can suddenly get rough, so take heed when exploring this part of the ocean. White Bay is sometimes called Windward beach, so travelers may want to keep an eye out for this alternate name.

The concession stand located here is another lunchtime alternative. If available, you could also order lunch from one of the local vendors who are typically found at this location.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.

White Bay Beach provides a calm and tranquil haven, in part because the region surrounding the beach is more rural than urban.
