White Bay Beach is known as one of the best beaches on the island for surfers because of the region's active waves. Its rocky coast also makes it remarkably picturesque, and a good spot for a picnic in a remote, infrequently visited area.
Located on the eastern outskirts of Saint George Gingerland Parish, White Bay Beach is on the South East coast of Nevis. You might want even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. This beach is not just another pleasant piece of the coast, it also has a private beach feel——a unique quailty in a touristy place like St. Kitts. While White Bay Beach might be a little more trouble to reach, it's a pleasure to find an undisturbed plot of sand like this one.
You'll probably need a 4X4 vehicle to reach this rather secluded destination, unless you want to walk it. It's a couple miles from New River Estate, and not too far southwest from Gingerland. From Gingerland, there are paths that will take you out to the coast.
The Atlantic facing White Bay Beach has a rocky, yet picturesque coastline. Because these shores are facing the Atlantic, the waters here can suddenly get rough, so take heed when exploring this part of the ocean. White Bay is sometimes called Windward beach, so travelers may want to keep an eye out for this alternate name.
There is also a concession stand available. On some days, it may be possible to buy food from one of the local vendors who operate at or near this spot.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline.
If you happen to like sunny days that provide a serene place to escape, then think about trying out White Bay Beach; it is found within a more natural sector of Nevis.
This beach is positioned on the South East coast of Nevis; the area is home to other attractions such as, which is three quarters of a mile to the south-southwest.
To some, museums and beaches may seem an odd combination, but at least a few travelers find that museums like Nevisian Heritage Village (one of the closest to White Bay Beach) offer rare insight into Caribbean life and a whole new way to view St. Kitts' traditions and culture.
