Leeward East Beach

This quiet beach runs along the coast near the Leeward East subdivision. Buffered from the neighborhood by a long patch of interesting, shade-providing trees, this beach has a really nice remote feel to it despite its Nassau locale.

If you have a rental car, public parking is available at the northern part of the beach, and can be reached from Yamacraw Hill Rd.

The water is relatively shallow and clear, and the sand is a soft white. The twisted mangroves along the beach are a really nice, distinctive feature.

If you like the ambiance at this beach, you might also like Honeymoon Cove Beach, another place which offers ample peace and tranquility. More active guests, though, may be interested in South Yamacraw Hill Beach, which offers more action, and is closer to nearby attractions. You'll find it a mile to the west-southwest.
