Located on the island of New Providence, 2.1 miles southeast of Clifton Bay, You might want to drop by whether or not you're staying particularly close by. This beach is not just a tropical beauty, it is one of the more unique and quiet beaches in the Bahamas. While South Ocean Beach may be a little harder to reach, it's a pleasure to find an undisturbed plot of sand like this one.

How to Access The Beach

The beach is located just southeast of Albany Golf Course, and is accessible by car. From the golf course on Adelaide Rd, take any number of roads south to the ocean.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach is a long, straight strip of pristine white sand which hugs the south coast until it finds the Albany Marina. With the nearby wetlands, there is no end to the activities one can partake in here. Nature lovers will have the opportunity to see many native plants and animals - bird watchers will find the area especially impressive. Snorkeling gear, bicycles and kayaks are also available for rent.

Those who wish to eat lunch here will enjoy having access to picnic tables.

South Ocean Beach does have public restrooms for your convenience. You'll appreciate that showers are available, so you can rinse off before heading back to your hotel.
