South Yamacraw Hill Beach

The beach here is surrounded by private neighborhoods, and doesn't allow much public access. It wouldn't be a very feasible option anyway unless you have a rental car.

Set on the eastern side of the island of New Providence, You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying very close. South Yamacraw Hill Beach stands out because it's one of the best spots for escaping over-crowded hangouts in the town proper. Other nearby beaches in the Bahamas may have the same warm sand and calming breezes as South Yamacraw Hill Beach, but tend to be busier since they're right in the thick of tourists' favorite hangouts.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is located on the southeastern portion of the island, to the south of St. Andrew's School. Access is limited due to the private neighborhoods surrounding the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

The coast along Yamacraw Hill Beach is a bit rocky, but the mangroves left standing in between the multiple neighborhoods are an interesting feature and provide lots of shade. Additionally, kitesurfing conditions are rather good here.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

South Yamacraw Hill Beach offers visitors an idyllic and relaxing environment, due to the fact that the surrounding region is free of city-life and traffic.
