Attractions in Noord

A popular resort town, Noord is a great spot to choose for their luxury and comfortable hotels.  When it comes to exploring your surroundings, you'll find that beaches and casinos are top choices, but for landmarks and natural attractions you might have to drive to the surrounding towns to make it worth your while. 


Aruba's Palm Beach

You will find a large selection of beaches to visit, though each of them are found just outside of Noord. Snorkeling is an option at several locations, if some of the people in your group are so inclined. You can click on the name of each beach for detailed information about that section of the coast.

One beach where snorkeling is a popular is Palm Beach. Plenty of parking opportunities exist on either side of J.E. Irausquin Blvd. You may also choose to take a public bus which will drop you off at any number of locations right along the beach.

Another option worth considering is Hadicurari Beach. Hadicurari is home to the Hi-Winds World Challenge, a pro-am windsurfing competition. Windsurfing is the most popular sport in the area and visitors have ample opportunities to learn new skills or practice what they already know.

Eagle Beach: Eagle Beach is a wide expanse of pristine white sand that stretches along Aruba's coast for miles, hugging gentle waters with small waves. The beach is easily accessible and lined with hotels directly across the street.

Landmark Attractions


An interesting landmark worth visiting is Aruba Aloe Balm Museum. It is found within Oranjestad, 1.6 mi. South of central Noord. Monday to Friday tours are offer from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Saturday tours run from 9:00 AM – 12:00 noon.

Another popular destination is Bushiribana. It is located in Bushiribana, 3.8 mi. East of central Noord. The site of a two former gold smelters built in 1825 by the Aruba Island Gold Mining Company, these ruins are a popular stop for visitors on there way to visit the Natural Bridge, and can't help but snap a few pictures of the unique rock formations.

National Archaeological Museum Aruba: Located in downtown Oranjestad, this is both museum and research institution whose purpose is to educate locals and tourists alike about Aruba's colorful history and preserve that knowledge through the generations.

Aruba Ostrich Adventures

The Butterfly Farm is one of the better known natural attractions. After the first Butterfly Farm in St. Martin experienced such great success, one of the owners, William Slayter decided to take the concept to the island of Aruba. This Butterfly Farm, co-owned by Tony and Lori Cox, has been open since May of 1999, and remains popular thanks in part to the beauty and majesty of the butterfly, and also in part to William's quirky sense of humor.

Bubali Bird Sanctuary is another local site you might enjoy. Located in the area surrounding Bubali Pond, Bubali Bird Sanctuary seeks to create a safe refuge for a variety of coastal birds, including pelicans, sandpipers, and storks.
