Docking

...sail into Aruban waters...

Sailing in Aruba is centered around the capital city of Oranjestad. Tourists who have a passion for sailing don't have to forgo an adventure on the high seas just because the port of entry isn't directly in Noord.

As you sail into Aruban waters, head towards the island's west coast where you will find the official port of entry at Barcadera Harbour in Oranjestad. When you sail in you will have to dock your boat for a fee of $10(USD) an hour during the week and $20(USD) on holidays or weekends. You will then first head to the Immigrations office and present them with your passport. They will stamp your immigration paperwork, which you can print from the Port Authority Web site in advance and fill it out to save time, then send you on to customs. Customs will ask you several questions about your vessel and ask to see documentation regarding the ships stores and the last port of entry.

Are you going to reach Noord using your own vessel, or one you charter? This next chart contains a list of marinas in the area.

Once you've gained official entry into the country, you will be allowed to sail around Aruba for 30 days. You may choose to sail northeast and find a spot to moor or anchor in Noord, or you may choose to dock your vessel in Oranjestad and drive.

The adventure of a lifetime awaits you in the waters that surround Noord, and the rest of the breathtaking island of Aruba. Take advantage of the opportunity by sailing to your vacation, or at the very least, booking a day out on the sea.
