The tiny airport, , serves mainly as a connection to Vieques and Culebra, as well as small charters. will still offer a larger selection of domestic flights, but Isla Grande Airport offers the convenience of being in the Old City.

If you'll be staying in Old San Juan, you don't have much of a journey to get you to your accommodations from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport. Many people choose to take a cab which will cost about $20(USD), but you can also rent a car for between $40 and $70(USD) a day. If you drive yourself, you'll take PR 26 to PR 1 North, then continue onto Avenida Munoz Rivera where you will then find yourself in Old San Juan.
