Flying into Orange Walk is no easy task, but that doesn't discourage many tourists from planning a getaway in this town known for it's old-time Spanish feel. A flight into Belize is just the first stop on your journey.
A straight flight with no stops is available to Belize City, home of the country's single international airport with , , and from Raleigh, Miami, New Orleans, and Houston. If you're traveling from elsewhere in the United States, Canada, and Europe, you'll have to make a connection in one of these cities or in the Central American countries of Guatemala or El Salvador.
As previously mentioned, the(BZE) is the only international airport in Belize. It is also the largest and busiest. Located about 30 minutes outside the center of Belize City in Ladyville, the airport is filled with restaurants and shops alongside your typical airport finds like baggage claim, a tourism center, and a collection of rental car agencies across the main parking lot.

For many tourist, the air travel will end in Belize City. If this is the case for you, you will then have to arrange for ground transport into Orange Walk. This can be done through taxis or rental cars. Keep in mind though that many resorts and hotels include transportation to and from the airport as a complimentary service, or at least can offer a good deal. Be sure to call your accommodation manager before making final arrangements.
With that said, there is an airfield in Orange Walk that tourist can use, albeit without direct flights.
There is only one small airfield in Orange Walk, aptly named San Pedro. If you happen to be exploring Belize and want to see some of the cays, (or take a connecting flight once in San Pedro) then this airport is an option.
