Renaissance Island

This long, thin strip of 40 acres off Aruba's eastern shore is a private island accessible to those staying at the Renaissance Resort & Casino. $75 will also get you access, and the price includes lunch and use of a beach mat. A wide array of water sports are also available, organized by Red Sail Sports.

Situated on the island of Aruba, Renaissance Island is on the West coast of the island, You should consider stopping by even if you are not staying very close. Travelers looking for a spot that's a little out of the way, but still active, may find that Renaissance Island is just the right spot. It's slightly off the beaten path, but it's not totally devoid of people either.

How to Access The Beach
If you're not staying at the Renaissance Resort, you can still come to the island for $75. Either way, taking a boat is necessary.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beaches at this tropical retreat are blindingly white, but shade can be found under the many palm trees. Beach volleyball and tennis courts are available on land, while snorkeling, wave-running, kayaking, paddle-boating and more are available off shore. There is also a separate adult beach where toplessness is more than acceptable. Facilities here are top class.

Of course, you could always try the shoreside restaurant right on Renaissance Island, which is the ultimate convenience for beachgoers. Each destination around the Caribbean has its own culinary style, and Aruba is no different. One of the most enjoyable places to try local specialties is right on the water. Ask your hotel about picnic lunches, as some hotels offer to pack snacks for their guests' day trips. Otherwise, you could easily grab some of Aruba's famous street food along the way.

Lots of visitors here find that the on-site snack bar is just fine for lunch.

For your convenience, restrooms are available at Renaissance Island. Also, there are lounge chairs available at this location. You will find the water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring along some gear if you want to see what lies beneath the surface.

Though, you will want to remember that even though there will be (BLANK) conveniences on location while at Renaissance Island, it will be found inside a relatively urbanized region. Because of this, if your ideal vacation means these amenities are a deciding factor, naturally, it's an appropriate motivator to get there earlier in the day well before the crowds do or perhaps go to a different beach elsewhere. If not, you could risk all those comforts being overwhelmed.
