Set on a gorgeous wooden deck right on the water's edge, The West Deck is an elegantly casual restaurant that offers a "small plates" menu served up by a staff that is friendly and always efficient.

The West Deck

The small plates menu focuses mainly on Caribbean eats such as Island Fish Cakes, Balashi Grouper Fingers, and Tenderloin and Plantain Pincho. The menu continues on to include a list of sandwiches, wraps, and burgers, and is rounded out by a nice selection of beverages and desserts.

The West Deck is a popular bar and grill that happens to specialize in Caribbean cuisine. Most guests consider the level of formality and service here to be very casual. The option to eat here is on the table during both dinner and lunch, so make time to stop by; you could find a new favorite food.

Dining takes place on a large wooden deck spotted with light wooden tables and chairs that are given a cozy feel from the glow of the twinkling lights above. The view from the deck is of a white sandy beach in the foreground and the ocean in the back, often with a cruise ship on the horizon.

Located southeast of downtown Oranjestad, The West Deck is on L.G. Smith Boulevard.

You can combine dining experience with excellent sightseeing options by visiting one of the region's many close-by attractions, such as Wilhelmina Park.

People who dine here also tend to love the things to do outdoors in the area. Golfers eager to get in a few good swings should consider reserving a tee time at the neighborhood golf club, The Links at Divi Aruba Golf Course. For those who want a mix of excitement and leisure, trek over to Surfside Beach, which you will find to be the closest beach and is only about three quarters of a mile away. Remember, these attractions aren't the only beaches and golf courses within the region.

Nearby Restaurants

If you're looking to find a restaurant that has similar menu items and/or a comparable price range, there is no shortage of nearby dining spots to consider, including Papagayo Bar & Grill.

Of course, if you want something different, this part of Aruba has an excellent range of food and beverage venues that will be sure to suit the tastes of nearly any kind of diner. For example, you might also enjoy eclectic food at Café de Plaza, which is just steps from the beach.

Cost, Credit Cards Accepted, and Hours

The majority of the menu items cost under $15(USD). The West Deck accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa. The restaurant is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., allowing guests to eat both lunch and dinner here.
