Beaches in Orient Bay

Orient Bay is a unique destination in the Caribbean because it has a wholly French attitude about it.  What does this mean?  Well, clothing is optional.  If this is something you don't feel comfortable with, you may be better suited to other areas of the island.  Whether or not you're free enough in body to disrobe and lie in the sand this coast does offer some of the most picturesque views.

Which Beaches Are Available?

There are several beaches to enjoy in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some of the beaches, for vacationers who are so inclined. Just click on the name of each beach for more detail concerning that particular stretch of sand.

Orient Beach

Green Cay: If you'd like to get away from the more crowded and well-known Orient Bay Beach, just head to nearby Green Cay (Caye Verte) for a bit of escapism on a gorgeous and serene beach.

A second option that beach-goers can consider is Ilet Pinel. The Ilet Pinel beach is located on one of St. Martin's uninhabited offshore islets and can only be accessed by boat. Many boats from St. Martin offer charter service here for tourists.

Baie de cul-de-sac: This is a very popular bay for boaters, with multiple docks and marinas on its shore. Its great for a view of the bay dotted with boats and you might enjoy wading in the waters near the marina, but it's not much of a beach destination.
