Beaches in Orient Bay

Orient Bay is a unique destination in the Caribbean because it has a wholly French attitude about it.  What does this mean?  Well, clothing is optional.  If this is something you don't feel comfortable with, you may be better suited to other areas of the island.  Whether or not you're free enough in body to disrobe and lie in the sand this coast does offer some of the most picturesque views.

The Area's Beaches

You will discover several beaches to enjoy in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some locations, for visitors who enjoy this relaxing pastime. Click on the name of the beach for more detail concerning that section of the coast.

Orient Beach

Green Cay: If you'd like to get away from the more crowded and well-known Orient Bay Beach, just head to nearby Green Cay (Caye Verte) for a bit of escapism on a gorgeous and serene beach.

A second alternative worth considering is Ilet Pinel. Bring your mask and fins because this is a great beach for snorkeling. Beautiful paths wind through the inland side of the beach and umbrellas abound for enjoying shade on the shoreline.

Baie de cul-de-sac: Baie de cul-de-sac is right off of Rue de Cul de Sac on St. Martin's northeastern side. It's not difficult to access and you should be able to mark at one of the marina's if you're looking to explore this coast.
