Galion Beach

This beach has some nice trees providing shade and is very sparsely developed. It's ideal for swimming and wading in warm Caribbean waters.

Set on the eastern outskirts of Saint Martin, in the same vicinity as the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten, Galion Beach is on the East coast of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. You might want whether or not you are staying very close. Galion Beach is one part of St. Martin's coast that is not terribly crowded, but it's not empty and secluded either.

How to Access The Beach
You'll have no trouble finding somewhere to park or walking right up on this beach. The road that provides access is called the Rue de Coconut Grove.

Amenities and Ambiance

This is a beautiful beach with stunning white sand and crystalline waters. There are wonderful views of the sunrise on the eastern beach. There are many paths for taking sunny strolls and an offshore coral reef for great snorkeling.

There is also a restaurant right on the water, so if you don't want to leave Galion Beach at all, it's worth a try. Every nation has its own style of cuisine, and St. Martin is no different. One of the most memorable places to experience the local specialties is right next to the coast. With this in mind, you might ask your hotel if they offer to pack picnic lunches for their guests. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner.

One obvious convenience is this beach's picnic facilities, which are perfect for setting up your carry-out food, or just lounging under the sun.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. In addition, you'll find umbrellas and chairs here, so visitors hoping for a shaded area to relax will not be disappointed. Happily, the off-shore waters are clear enough for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some equipment if you're looking to see what goes on beneath the surface.

Remember to take into account that Galion Beach's location is rather congested, meaning the availability of certain facilities is likely to be affected.
