Oyster Pond beach is less of a beach than a shoreline. Most of the coastline here backs up into private docks. It's a boater's bay but a small strip of sandy beach is on the cape that separates the bay from the ocean.

Located in Saint Martin, near Philipsburg, Oyster Pond Beach is on the North East coast of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. You might want regardless of whether you're staying in the immediate vicinity. Those visitors who thrive in busy, social environments will likely enjoy the atmosphere at Oyster Pond Beach.

How to Access The Beach
The strip of sand that is the only real beach on this bay is blockaded by the Oyster Bay Beach resort and public access is limited.

Amenities and Ambiance

The sand here is tan and beautiful and the ocean floor is clear for several feet out into the turquoise waters. Umbrellas line the beach for use by patrons of the resort.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. Sometimes, visitors will be able to buy some food from one of the local vendors who typically set up shop here.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. You will find the water here is clear and good for snorkeling, so bring your gear if you're hoping to see what lies beneath the surface. It's out-of-the-way location tends to discourage many travelers, which means that those who do make the trek are sure to have beautiful Oyster Pond Beach all to themselves.

Don't forget that the region in which Oyster Pond Beach is located is a popular spot, so show up early.
