Snorkeling Around Palmas Del Mar

Although the beaches of Palmas del Mar are gorgeous, snorkeling from the shore is less than ideal.  If you're planning to get in some underwater exploration while you visit this area of Humacao, your best option will be to book an off-shore tour.

There area several tour guide operators in the area that specialize in snorkeling excursions.  The most popular trips include a boat ride, and hour or more of snorkeling, a meal or a snack, some time spent on the beach, and finally the boat ride home.  Typically, you will travel to Vieques, Culebra, Monkey Island, or Fajardo, all of which are less than 90 minutes away.

At any of these locations, you can expect to spend some time underwater exploring healthy coral reef teeming with brightly colored reef fish, sea urchins, sea turtles, octopus, rays, and more.  Sometimes dolphins even make an appearance.

Snorkeling Boat Trips

For some people, the best snorkeling is experienced away from the shore.

If you'd like to combine some snorkeling with a boating adventure, you might want to contact Maragata Yacht Charter. Snorkeling excursions lead you to either Vieques Island, Monkey Island, or Culebra Island. Fishing trip destinations are the Continental Shelf and the two Sea Mounts.
