On the west coast of Paradise Island is where you'll find the breathtakingly beautiful Arawak Beach, enjoyed primarily by those staying at residences along the western side of Paradise Island Golf Course.
Located on Paradise Island, 3.1 miles east of downtown Nassau, Arawak Beach is on the South East coast of the island, You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying nearby. Those of you who might prefer a beach that's a little less crowded, but still fun and active, should pay a visit to Arawak Beach. It's just slightly removed from the center of it all, but it's not totally devoid of people either.
Ocean Club Drive takes you through a golf course and into an upscale residential area. At the end of the road is a round-a-bout and from there is a sandy path leading directly to the beach.
The water is rather shallow on this beach which - coupled with the perfectly clear turquoise water - makes for fantastic swimming and snorkeling experiences for people of all ages and abilities. After swimming, lay down a towel in the perfectly white, powdery sand and soak up a few rays.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.
Keep in mind that the area right around Arawak Beach is is a much-visited area, so factor that into your plans.
Arawak Beach is on the South East coast of New Providence. Paradise Island Golf Course is only a short distance away, so tourists could take a cab or probably walk to this attraction, and it is one of a number of attractions in the area.
Historical attractions like Cloisters offer a wonderful compliment to the scenery of Arawak Beach, plus they allow vacationers to learn more about the Bahamas, without having to go too far from the beach. As a matter of fact, this shore will be found a mile from this place of historical interest.

The town of Paradise Island is close-by and is a region with interesting things to do, yet is never overly congested.
