While "The Dig" may bring images of sand and dirt, that is not what you'll find here. The Dig at Atlantis is a stellar aquarium full of exotic exhibits themed to the sunk city of Atlantis. You will feel humbled by the sheer size of the tanks and variety of the animals.

The entire aquarium is designed to appear an ancient ruin that has sunk into the sea.

There are numerous, colorful ruins at the Dig that feature an even more numerous number of animals. The prime exhibits include the lobsters, lion-fish, grouper, seahorse, jellyfish, clown fish, and eel. All the exhibits and animals are brought into the mythology of Atlantis and given a part in a larger story.

The Dig Aquarium, located within Atlantis Royal Towers, lies near the heart of Paradise Island, 1.3 miles east-northeast of downtown Nassau.

There are a number of ways to reach the Royal Towers where the Dig is located. Visitors can drive or take a bus over the main bridge into Paradise Island, or hire one of the many taxis and vans. Additionally, there are ferries that will take you straight to Atlantis' dock.
