L'Escargot opened on Front Street almost 40 years, and with the same proprietors running the show to this day, it is the oldest restaurant under the same management team in the whole of St. Maarten. A pleasant combination of fine French cuisine, friendly service, and an electric atmosphere has kept this spot running, and will continue to do so for years to come.
In case the restaurant's name didn't give it away, fine French cuisine is what fills the menu at L'Escargot. There are several different styles of escargot on the menu, and seafood is an option as well. Try the award winning rack of lamb, and pair it with one of the numerous French wines that are available.

Set inside a brightly painted Creole-style building with murals on the exterior walls, L'Escargots inside is as eclectic as its outside. Friday night is the nigh to be seen, when the restaurant hosts Cabaret.
