Playa Del Carmen Attractions

Currently one of the trendiest destinations in the Mexican Caribbean, Playa del Carmen is a place to see and be seen.  That doesn't mean you can't squeeze a bit of culture in at the same time.  If you're up for a small amount of driving, just outside are the mysterious Mayan ruins that can't be missed as well as a local culture and history museum.  Meanwhile, right within city limits you'll find a lighthouse, several natural sites, and of course, the world-famous beaches.


Playa del Carmen

El Faro: El Faro Beach is a part of a much larger stretch of sand along the coast in Playa del Carmen. With several hotel properties set right on the beach, you can always expect this spot to be busy.

Maroma Beach: Pure white sands, warm deep blue waters, and stucco huts with thatched roof are what you'll encounter when you arrive at Maroma Beach. The beach is lined with palm trees and the calm waters are great for snorkeling.
