El Camaleon Mayakoba

The course features an abundance of water hazards, which factor into all but three of the eighteen holes. When making its way closer to the ocean, the course is lined by sand dunes and distinctive mangroves. Further inland, it winds through a dense tropical jungle. Such dramatic changes in the landscape is the why its aptly been named El Camaleon (the chameleon). Golfers of all ages and abilities will be able to enjoy this picturesque course.

Course Description

You can golf here year round.

The course is open daily from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Golfers can head over knowing that it will be a modern, fairly new facility. It first opened in 2004. The greens, difficulty of the holes, and bunkers all came from the imagination of Greg Norman, the architect of the course. The golf course has 18 holes, which measure out to 7024 yards.

The course is situated on the Caribbean coast across from Cozumel. Fairways are bordered by water at times, thick forest at others, and occasionally by the resorts around which it makes its home. Two breathtaking holes take golfers right up to the ocean. Subterranean caves and sparkling lagoons are prominent features elsewhere.
