Phantom Divers Dive Center

A full service dive center with over 25 years of experience, you'll find that everything you need to complete your dream dive getaway is available with this well-liked organization.

There are multiple daily dives available for certified divers leaving at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. which include a dive orientation, one or two tanks, purified drinking water, and of course your diving guide. Cenote dives are often the best value for seasoned divers. It leaves at 8:30 a.m., returns at 2:00 p.m. and includes transportation, a guided cave dive, and a packed lunch. Don't forget that night and twilight dives are also available.

Aside from shopping, you'll find at least a few landmarks that you could visit while you are in downtown Playa del Carmen. If a lighthouse sounds entertaining, plan on spending some time at El Faro Lighthouse. Or, if you'd rather check out a historical site, you may want to try Xcaret Maya Ruins. When it's time to eat, there are a good availability of places where you can enjoy a meal nearby.

PADI dive courses are available, beginning with Discover Scuba for $110 and progressing through Dive Master for $850, plus a $119 PADI application fee as well as a $250 crew pack fee.

With Phantom Divers, a one tank dive is $60, and a two tank dive is $70. Equipment is available for $20. The group also offers a number of specialty dives, such as trips to Cozumel for $95, including the cost of the ferry ride to the island, and Cenote dives for $120.
