One might describe Ponce as the second busiest city on Puerto Rico.  Next to San Juan, this town has the most variety of attractions to choose from.  Not only can you relax on a gorgeous beach, it under a coconut tree in an inner city park, or check out one of the multiple museums and historical sites during the day, but your nights can be spent finding out just how lucky you are in a local casino.

La Guancha

There are an abundance of beaches to consider in and around the area. Just click on each beach name for more detail concerning that beach.

Ponce Beach: Actually located right outside of Ponce, Ponce Beach is a bit quieter than the large city it shares its name with. Guests who visit Ponce Beach will be treated to cool dark waters on one side, and natural mangroves on the other.

Another option to consider is Playa de Ponce. Playa de Ponce is located on the outskirts of Puerto Rico's second-largest city, Ponce. The smooth Caribbean waters here are good for just about any water sport you could want to partake in; it is also a fantastic place to just swim and relax on the warm beach.

La Guancha: La Guancha Beach is not one of Puerto Rico's more popular beaches for swimming, but it is a great place for strolling and socializing. The boardwalk here is filled with kiosks selling food, drinks, and souvenirs, and salsa music blares throughout, making it a fun and lively environment.

Ponce and the surrounding areas offer a wider range of beaches to choose from. To read more about beaches available, see this page.
