Another option to consider is Playa de Ponce. Playa de Ponce is located on the outskirts of Puerto Rico's second-largest city, Ponce. The smooth Caribbean waters here are good for just about any water sport you could want to partake in; it is also a fantastic place to just swim and relax on the warm beach.

La Guancha: La Guancha Beach is not one of Puerto Rico's more popular beaches for swimming, but it is a great place for strolling and socializing. The boardwalk here is filled with kiosks selling food, drinks, and souvenirs, and salsa music blares throughout, making it a fun and lively environment.

Ponce and the surrounding areas offer a wider range of beaches to choose from. To read more about beaches available, see this page.
