Ponce Beach

Actually located right outside of Ponce, Ponce Beach is a bit quieter than the large city it shares its name with. Guests who visit Ponce Beach will be treated to cool dark waters on one side, and natural mangroves on the other.

Located toward the outskirts of Ponce, three miles south west of the downtown area, Ponce Beach is on the South West coast of Puerto Rico. You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. Do you dream of finding a beach tucked into an untouched part of town? Many visitors seek a beach that's a long way from the nearest major city; relatively untouched parts of the coast like Ponce Beach allow you much more room to spread out and feel comfortable.

How to Access The Beach
Just to the west of Ponce, you can find a couple of roads that head south through the mangroves. Careful drivers of ATVs or durable cars can follow dirt paths to the beach. Be careful though, without regular maintenance, the roads to succumb to nature, and a wrong turn can send you into more water than insurance may cover.

Amenities and Ambiance

Ponce Beach stretches on for quite a while, but throughout its entire length does not change much. No matter what part you are on, you should expect to see mangroves, dark water, and moderately rough waves.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.

If you usually like coasts which grant a relaxing experience, then maybe head on over to Ponce Beach; it's located within a more rural sector of Puerto Rico.
