Another options is the most popular airport on the island; the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. Although at over four hours away, many tourists still choose to fly into this airport originally because of the numerous direct flights from around the world, and often cheaper prices.

Flying to Port Antonio from the Caribbean

After you arrive in Jamaica, your next step will be to choose your path to Port Antonio. You can hire a taxi charter for an airport transfer (around $250 to $400 for four passengers), rent a car and drive yourself ($80 to $250 a day), or book a domestic flight. Also note, that when flying into Norman Manley International Airport, you will a number of Caribbean options. This is great if Jamaica is just one part of your Caribbean vacation.

When you fly to Port Antonio, you'll be flying into the Ken Jones Aerodrome. It is set just over six miles west of Port Antonio's center. The aerodrome has a single 3,425 by 90 foot asphalt runway just outside of a small terminal building with a waiting lounge that has seating for 30 people. This airport is served by domestic airlines offering quick transport between the island's other airports, especially those in Montego Bay and Kingston.
