Folly Ruins Beach

This beach sits next to the ruins of an old mansion, built in 1905 and now crumbling away. These are the "Folly Ruins" that the beach takes its name from. The shell of the structure is still there and its fun to investigate.

Situated along the eastern outskirts of Port Antonio, Folly Ruins Beach is on the East edge of Jamaica. You should consider stopping by whether or not you're staying particularly close by. Folly Ruins Beach is a distinguishable relaxation spot because it's perfect for escaping the hustle of Jamaica's urban areas. Most other beaches in Jamaica may be just as breezy and refreshing, but are usually more cramped because they're right around the corner from the area's major hotels and resorts.

Amenities and Ambiance

Near Port Antonio and out on a peninsula, this is a tan sand beach with trees for shade. It's far enough away from the urban area to feel a bit reclusive.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.
