Located three miles east-southeast of downtown Freeport, Taino Beach is on the South West coast of Grand Bahama Island. You should consider dropping by whether or not you are staying very close. Active and social travelers might like this beach due to its urban location. In fact, Taino Beach would be great for guests staying in nearby hotels, and those who prefer a crowded city scene over a quiet, suburban one.
From the E Sunshine Hwy, head south on Arden Forest Rd. At the end of the road, take on right on W Beach Rd, then your first right after the bridge. The beach is located across from the Flamingo Bay Yacht Club & Marina.
This short but pleasant stretch of gorgeous white sand is separated from the popular Lucayan Beach by the narrow inlet to Bell Channel Bay. It is home to Taino Beach Resort which looks out onto clam, emerald ocean water.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.
Remember to take into account that the area surrounding Taino Beach is rather congested, so show up early.

You may also want to try Xanadu Beach, which is in a pretty active location. You'll find it four and a half miles to the west-southwest. If it's solitude and tranquility you're seeking, Lucayan Beach is a location which doesn't see as many crowds. It is located not far off the beach at all.
You may also enjoy Taino Beach, which is located within a couple of miles.
