Known as one of the "Magnificent Nine" historic buildings in Queen's Park West, this property is a historic home that was built to model a castle in Scotland. It's architecture is certainly impressive, and although it has had many uses over the years, today it is a popular attraction for tourists to visit.
The building is currently unopened to the public, but tourists can view it from the outside.
The design of Stollmeyer's is similar to that of Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Robert Gillies designed it and used imported brick as well as a limestone trim.
Consider staying in St. Clair if you plan on visiting Stollmeyer's Castle, as visitors to this area of Trinidad and Tobago will have the benefit of easy access to this historic attraction during their visit. There are a decent bunch of lodgings in the district around this landmark.
