Half Moon Bay

Considered a part of Providenciales, Half Moon Bay is little more than a sand bar sandwiched between two uninhabited cays. Because the area is so small, it remains uninhabited, which offers a type of seclusion that can rarely be found these days. For it's natural beauty and quiet nature, Half Moon Bay is often voted one of the best beaches in Turks and Caicos.

Located in the heart of the island of Half Moon Sandbar, Half Moon Bay is on the East coast of the island, You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you are staying particularly close by. This beach is not just another beach attraction, it's special in that it's one of the few quiet beaches in Turks and Caicos. While Half Moon Bay may be a little bit out of the way, it allows you to relax without being bothered by the noise of the crowds.

How to Access The Beach
Half Moon Bay is only accessible by boat. The trip takes about 15 minutes and departs from Blue Haven Marina.

Amenities and Ambiance

The color of the ocean surrounding Half Moon Bay is so bright blue that it is hard to believe that such a hue exists in nature -- yet, it does. As the waves lap onto the sugar sand shore it can be mesmerizing. But, if you manage to tear yourself away, you'll find that there are limestone caves for exploring and a shipwreck available for diving.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. You'll find the waters off-shore to be fit for snorkeling, so bring your gear if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites.
