Long Bay Beach

The main attractions on Providenciales are the beaches with their stunning sands and waters that are perfect for playing in, and Long Bay Beach offers both. Its seclusion, however, is one of the main attractions.

Located in Bringamosa, Long Bay Beach is on the East edge of Providenciales. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. Travelers looking for a spot that's a little out of the way, but still active, should give Long Bay Beach a try. It's not one of the beaches that's always brimming with visitors, but it also doesn't completely lack a social atmosphere.

How to Access The Beach
You can find Long Bay Beach just one street south of Man of War Road West. A paved, but bumpy road, leads right to the sand.

Amenities and Ambiance

Long Bay Beach is a large stretch of coastline on the south shore, with beautiful white sands and hardly any visitors. The water is warmer on this side and the waves are shallow and calm, providing excellent swimming opportunities.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to order lunch from one of the mobile vendors who set up shop at the beach.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. With most people staying on Grace Bay, Long Bay Beach stays relatively unpopulated, while the length of the shore makes it easy to find a secluded setting.

Other Beaches

Providenciales has many nice beaches, so Long Bay Beach is not your only option.

You might also enjoy The Bight Beach, located a quick car or cab ride away. However, if that's not exactly what you're looking for, Turtle Tail Beach could provide more action, and is closer to other tourist hot-spots. You'll find it two miles to the west.

Travelers may also want to consider Grace Bay Beach, which is located two and a half miles to the northwest. Grace Bay Beach, on the northeast coast, is a popular spot with tourists, but its twelve miles of powder soft sands give travelers the opportunity to find a private area to relax in the sun.

While the area offers plenty of picturesque views and exciting attractions, Long Bay Beach is both a refreshing place to relax, and a beautiful natural attraction.
