North West Point

Northwest Point is home to the Northwest Point Marine Natural Park and the Northwest Point Pond Nature Reserve, so it is easy to see why this Providenciales locale is popular amongst Eco-tourists. Not only is this spot a popular nesting breeding ground for a wide array of birds (great the for birders out there!), but the offshore reef can make for a promising snorkeling setting when the water isn't rough.

The landscape of North West Point is rugged and rocky, and features two inland salt water ponds, a mangrove tree encircled shallow, muddy salt flat, and a number of small coves.

North West Point is not great for swimming, however, when the water is relatively calm, snorkeling can yield great results. Birders should be on the lookout for Oyster Catchers, Stilts, Flamingos, Great and Reddish Egrets, and more.

Located on the island of Providenciales, 5.4 miles northwest of Blue Hills, North West Point welcomes residents and vacationers lodging on this part of the island or close by. Even if you are not staying very close, you should feel free to stop by to enjoy a great time.

Visitors can get to Northwest Point by following Millennium Highway all the way to the end. After the entrance to Northwest Point Resort you will see a small sign that says "Natural Park." Continue following the road for about a mile until you get close to the coast, where you should try and park somewhere before you hit sand.
