Next Stop, Puerto Plata

Although Luperon International is located in Puerto Plata it can take up to 40 minutes to get to some of the in the area. Taxis are available right outside of customs and cost around $5(USD) depending on your destination. You may also choose to rent a car from one of the agencies located right at the airport and drive yourself.

Thanks to the local international airport, getting to Puerto Plata is easy as can be – though most agree that even without this luxury the area would still be as popular a destination for tourists around the globe.
